Teddy
Praise is a
great service for pre-school children and babies and their
carers - Mums, dads, grandparents or childminders. It is an
hour and a half of hymns such as 'He's got the whole wide
world in His hands' or 'Who's the King of the jungle?' plus
a story, some prayers and craft activity and play time with
other children. It's fun, noisy and follows a theme each
week such as thinking about things that we can be thankful
for - colours, weather, people's jobs, animals, our familes
etc.
Teddy Praise was started well over a decade ago by Jennie
East, a Church Army Officer who supported the work at our
Church. It has proved to be an incredible success - a
friendly way to meet new people and their children and be a
part of the church. For many children, this is their first
contact with Church life. We have babies that are days old
through to nearly school age children attending Teddie
Praise.
If you would like to come along please join us during term
time in the Meeting Room at 10.30 am on Wednesday mornings
and stay for a drink and a chat whilst the chidren play
after craft time. Teddy Praise is free to everyone.
Refreshments afterwards are 50p each. There is no
membership, no waiting lists and no commitments involved.
Just come and enjoy yourselves as often as you wish.
